The Virgin Islands Port Authority is seeking bids to establish a pre-need, pre-event contract with qualified and experienced contractors for disaster debris removal and disposal services in the district of St. Thomas/St. John after a declared disaster or emergency. The purpose of these services is to ensure that the Virgin Islands Port Authority can reopen its airports and seaports immediately after a declared disaster or emergency. The Authority may award services to more than one contractor. The services under this contract will begin upon Board Approval and extend for one year with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The Contractor Proposer understands that the contract is not exclusive and the Authority may secure similar or identical services from another vendor at its sole option.
