The Town of Palm Beach, Florida is inviting qualified contractors with experience in at least three successful reglazing and painting projects on Tischler windows with a comparable number of openings to submit competitive bids to clean, remove silicon from glazing surfaces, reglaze, and paint windows at the Town Hall Building, located at 360 South County Road, Palm Beach, FL 33480. Bids must be submitted online through Euna Procurement (Bonfire). Attendance at a mandatory site visit/pre-bid meeting at Town Hall is required for eligibility to submit a bid. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all requirements and criteria. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Prices must be valid for 90 days after bid closing. Questions must be submitted through the procurement platform. All communication must go through designated Town Procurement Representatives due to the Cone of Silence. RFI / Questions Deadline: July 8, 2026, 2:00 PM EDT SCOPE OF WORK Provide labor, supervision, material, and necessary equipment to clean, remove silicon from glazing surfaces, reglaze and paint windows. 1. Surface Preparation a. The contractor is responsible for cleaning and preparing all Tischler windows. Remove all mildew, dirt, grime, debris, etc., if present, by washing/cleaning surface per manufacture recommendations. b. Remove silicone from glazing surfaces that would inhibit proper paint application. This can be achieved by cutting the silicone to a 90-degree angle in relation to the glazing profile. c. All frame, sash and muntin connections showing separation or cracking must be cleaned and filled before painting. Sikkens joint filler (fugensiegel) must be used on cracks and separations. Two coats of fugensiegel may be required, depending on the degree of joint separation. 2. Painting a. Apply Tischler-approved primer if required by manufacturer. b. Apply two finish coats of Tischler paint in the specified color. c. Ensure smooth, even coverage without streaks or drips. 3. Protection a. Protect surrounding walls, floors (concrete tabby), and hardware from paint splatter. b. Use masking materials and drop cloths as necessary. 4. Cleanup a. Remove all masking materials and debris upon completion. b. Dispose of waste in accordance with local regulations
