The Board of Supervisors of West Fallowfield Township , Chester County , Pennsylvania is seeking sealed bids to provide and place Leveling / Wearing Course . The contract may be awarded at that meeting or at a subsequent meeting which shall be announced . Mailed bids should be in double envelopes with the inside envelope labeled with the bid project . The Project is as follows : This work consists of approximately 18,186 S.Y. prep and Tack coat and provide and place 18,186 S.Y. 19mm leveling course including traffic control on various township roads . All amounts are more or less . Bid securities shall accompany each bid submitted in the form of a certified check , bank cashier's check or bid bond executed by an acceptable surety company in an amount equal to 10 % of the base bid . Contract provides for liquidated damages at the rate of $ 250.00 per calendar day . The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance payment and maintenance bonds issued by a surety company satisfactory to the Township . All bidders are responsible and required to become familiar with the road conditions for the road which is a part of this proposal . All bids shall remain irrevocable for a period of ninety ( 90 ) days after the actual date of the opening . West Fallowfield Township reserves the right to waive any informalities , irregularities , defects , errors or omissions in or to reject any or all bids or parts thereof LOCATION OF WORK: Centerhall Road, Baileys Crossroad Road and Steelvlle Road Provide all equipment, labor and materials to complete work as described below and in Attachment 1-A including traffic control. All work performed as per Penn DOT specifications. Contractor is responsible to familiarize themselves with the township road and project prior to bidding. Bidder must be Penn DOT prequalified. All Superpave Material to be HMA, 0-.3 Millions ESALS, PG64-22 content not to exceed 15%. All quantities are more or less. Only bids for the contract in its entirety will be accepted.
