CONSTRUCTION STAKING ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION, REMOVAL OF EXISTING LIGHTING UNITS AND INSTALLATION OF NEW LIGHTING UNITS PER THE INSTALLATION AND SPECIAL PROVISION GUIDELINES, CONDUIT, ELECTRICAL CABLE, INSTALLATION OF OTHER ELECTRICAL APPURTENANCES, ETC.; Located at: ST240260701 - Street Lighting Series Conversion SR 1-2; Area Bounded by (ABB): West Martin Lane, South 5th Street, West Morgan Avenue, and South 1st Street. All work on this contract shall be completed by March 31, 2027. The residency requirement for this project is 40% of all hours worked on the project. One quarter of these hours must be attributable to residents living in the specified zip codes. The SBE requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete SBE Compliance Plans (Form A) or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will not be accepted and will render the bid unresponsive. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. For those bids being submitted through Bid Express and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by email. The emailed copy of the bond must be received by no later than 10:30 A.M. on the same date that the bids are due, or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the contractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person or by mail within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder. All Contractors awarded a contract valued at $25,000.00 or more are required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's B2GNow contract compliance software within 30 days of the contract award date. Contractors are required to regularly provide timely subcontractor payment and payroll information in the City's contract compliance software and Labor Compliance Reporting (LCR) Software throughout the contract term.
