As per the Owner the project has been cancelled. This project will be rebid on a later date that has not yet been determined. The project consists of ramp improvements along Florence Avenue in the Borough of Union Beach. Work includes upgrading ADA-compliant curb ramps at nine intersections, with associated pavement restoration limited to areas disturbed by the ramp installations. The project is funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant and is subject to all applicable federal requirements, including 24 CFR Part 570, Davis Bacon Act labor standards, and HUD contract provisions. All work must be completed within sixty calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the contract documents and submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the project name. Proposals must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety and either a bid bond or a certified check for not less than ten percent of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and labor and material payment bond for the full amount of the project. Only bids from properly qualified bidders will be accepted. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities, except for mandatory or non-waivable items as per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2, and may abandon the project if legal, state, or federal action could delay it. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including affirmative action and public disclosure provisions. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
