Project requires installation of approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8" potable water utility pipeline (bored and trenched), reconnection of seven existing user water service lines, five connections to existing watermains, and two existing fire hydrant reconnections. Site is to be seeded and restored to pre-construction condition. Prospective bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting followed by a site walk through. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates and associated compliance and reporting criteria. Contractors must have a minimum of five years' experience and provide five examples of prior or current projects in which a similar scope of work was performed, with a preference for experience in rocky conditions. Contractors must provide current polyethylene (HDPE) fusion certification documents from a reputable organization with the bid proposal, and ensure all fuses are data logged and submitted. A bid security of 5% of the bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds as security for the faithful performance of the contract. The Southern Ute Indian Tribe Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) has established a preference for contracting and subcontracting to certified Indian Owned Businesses, with a 5% bid preference to any qualified Native American owned company certified by the Southern Ute Indian Tribe's TERO. The Southern Ute Indian Tribe reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive any informality in the bid process, and accept the bids deemed to be in the best interest of the Tribe.
