Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Welch, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of grading/excavating and removing flood silt and debris from a portion of the athletic field, regrading disturbed areas, and seeding and mulching. It also includes the replacement of damaged fence and removal of flood debris from fence that is still intact. Bids must be submitted using a two-envelope system: Envelope No. 1 (containing all required bid opening documentation) and Envelope No. 2 labeled 'Bid Proposal' placed inside Envelope No. 1. Envelope No. 1 will be checked for compliance before Envelope No. 2 is opened. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid and include a Drug Free Workplace Certification. Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License. The McDowell County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids. For detailed submission requirements, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. The work must be substantially completed within 60 calendar days from commencement and fully completed within 75 days, with liquidated damages set at $750 per day for delays.
