Site work for a mixed-use development in Welch, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and sidewalk / parking lot.
McDowell County Board of Education is requesting bids for the construction of a crosswalk at Coalfield Elementary School. The project includes installation of a culvert, concrete sidewalks, and crosswalk striping. The work must be substantially completed within 30 calendar days from the contract commencement date and fully completed within 45 days. Liquidated damages are set at $750 per day. Bids must be submitted using a two-envelope system. Envelope No. 1 should display the bidder's name, address, and project name, and contain all required bid opening documents. Envelope No. 2, labeled 'Bid Proposal,' should be placed inside Envelope No. 1. If Envelope No. 1's documents are in order, then Envelope No. 2 will be opened and read aloud. Otherwise, Envelope No. 2 will be returned unopened. All bids must include a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid, a Drug Free Workplace Certification, and evidence of a valid West Virginia Contractor's License. Bidders must not be suspended or debarred from doing business with the federal government. Late bids will be returned unopened. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
