Site work for a water / sewer project in Monument, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Work to be performed includes a base bid schedule and an alternative bid schedule. For the base bid, the contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the following items: replacement of approximately 40 linear feet of 6-inch diameter water main with all associated casing and fittings underneath a box culvert (by others); realignment of approximately 130 linear feet of 6-inch diameter water main with all associated fittings; removal and disposal of one existing air vac vault and all associated items; relocation of one fire hydrant assembly; adjustment of existing water structures to new proposed grade; installation of imported bedding material, asphalt removal and temporary asphalt patching, traffic control measures, coordination for Owner inspections, and all associated permits, testing, and appurtenances. For the alternative bid, items include: replacement of approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch diameter water main with all associated fittings; installation of approximately 30 linear feet of 6-inch diameter water main with all associated fittings; abandonment of approximately 200 linear feet of 6-inch diameter water main with all associated fittings; removal and disposal of one 48-inch ID sanitary sewer manhole; replacement of one 48-inch ID precast sanitary sewer manhole with proper pipe reconnections and all required bypass pumping equipment and materials to maintain uninterrupted sanitary sewer service related to this project; installation of imported bedding material, asphalt removal and temporary asphalt patching, traffic control measures, coordination for Owner inspections, and all associated permits, testing, and appurtenances. The contractor is responsible for close coordination with other onsite contractors, execution schedules, equipment, and working spaces to avoid any delays to the project. All project impacts and delays are the sole responsibility of the contractor and shall not incur additional costs. Bids must be on a unit price basis per the bid forms. Each bidder must file with their bid a bid security in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, or bidder’s bond. The awarded contractor must furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities or irregularities.
