Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Bids are invited for the Canonsburg Street Reconstruction Project No. CD 25-02. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, in a form permitted under the contract documents. Only contract documents purchased directly from LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors are acceptable for submission. SBE, MBE, WBE, and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate. Standard contract provisions apply, including Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, Civil Rights requirements, Executive Orders 11246 and 11625, Affirmative Action, Section 3 Requirements, Federal Public Works, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, in addition to all standard provisions of the CDBG Programs. The contractor must ensure non-discriminatory employment practices. The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure employment and economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance are directed to low and very low-income persons, particularly those receiving HUD housing assistance. Bids may be held for up to forty-five (45) days for review and investigation prior to contract award. The contractor must be able to commence work within twenty (20) days of contract execution and complete work within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities in the bidding process.
