WPCC Cosmetology Renovation at K Building Sealed proposals are invited for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the WPCC Cosmetology Renovation at K Building, Western Piedmont Community College. Bids are to be submitted as a single prime contract and must be lump sum. Bidders must include the Identification of Minority Business Participation form and either Affidavit A or B; failure to do so is grounds for rejection. All contractors must be properly licensed as required by state laws for their respective trades and must observe the statutes governing general contracts. General contractors must have a Building Contractor license with Unlimited License. If the project is bid as a single prime contract involving multiple trades, the single prime contractor must have the appropriate General Contractor's license unless the value of the general construction does not exceed 25% of total construction, in which case contractors of certain trades may bid as single prime. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit or bid bond of not less than 5% of the proposal. A performance bond and payment bond for 100% of the contract price are required. Payment will be made based on 95% of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance. No bids may be withdrawn within 30 days after the scheduled closing. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Complete plans, specifications, and documents are available for inspection at specified offices and plan rooms.
