The general work requested involves the construction of variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, 5" concrete walk, 7" concrete driveway, concrete curb and gutter, pavement grinding, manhole/inlet adjustments, CUC adjustments, and bioswales. Locations for the work include N. 89th St. (W. Silver Spring Dr. to W. Carmen Ave.) and N. 37th St. (N. Hopkins St. to W. Hampton Ave.). All work must be completed by the specified completion date. There is a residency requirement that 40% of all hours worked on the project must be by residents, with a quarter of those hours by residents from specified zip codes. The SBE requirement is 25% of the contract base bid, and the SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) and SBE certificates must be submitted with the bid. Incomplete or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans or missing forms will render the bid unresponsive. The apprenticeship requirement is not applicable, but if the contract is awarded at $500,000 or higher, specific apprentice labor hour requirements apply.
