Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Beaufort Street Improvements Project will be received at the Beaufort Train Depot. The Project consists of the removal of existing asphalt surface, concrete subgrade, CABC subgrade, unsuitable materials, and establishing a stable roadway suitable for construction of proposed pavement sections along Broad Street from Queen Street to Gordon Street, Live Oak Street, Belle Air Street from Front Street to the end of the street, and associated drainage infrastructure. The project will also include the milling and overlay of various Town streets. Bids must be submitted on the complete project and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked appropriately. All bids must be made on the forms provided. The name, address, and license number with limitation and classification of the Bidder must be plainly marked on the envelope. North Carolina G.S. 87 relating to licensing of contractors will be observed. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office during specified hours or online. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained for a specified fee, with a refund available for returned sets in good condition. An additional electronic version may be purchased for an additional fee. Attendance at a non-mandatory pre-bid conference is highly encouraged. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States per statutory requirements. The Town reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, and accept the bid(s) in the Owner's best interest.
