Site work for a military facility in Devens, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a military facility.
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and transportation necessary to construct an automatic gate system for the Range Control Front Gate at the Devens South Post Range Complex. Work includes installation of an entrance gate equipped with an RFID card reader and backup pin pad, along with controls to allow the inbound gate to remain open during specified hours via switches located in the existing guard shack and Range Control building. The outbound gate shall be equipped with an automatic opening mechanism activated by approaching vehicles on the exit side and designed to swing open outward from the installation. If required, the system may include gate rollers for parallel movement along the fence line, along with protective structures to prevent snow and ice accumulation that could impede operation. The project requires full compliance with applicable construction standards, bonding requirements, and Davis-Bacon Act provisions, and must be executed in accordance with the draft Statement of Work and associated technical specifications. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
