Site work for a water / sewer project in Winona, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of replacing watermain at Huff Street at the Railroad Crossing between 11th & 12th Streets, including the labor and materials. Approximate quantities for the major items of work are: 36” steel casing 140 LF, 20” ductile watermain 160 LF, bituminous pavement 110 ton, aggregate base class-5 286 ton, dewatering 1 lump sum. Bids must be made on the proposal forms furnished. A certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond shall accompany each bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the City of Winona, Minnesota, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract with the City. The contractor shall furnish the owner, within ten (10) days after the contract is awarded, a bond executed by a surety company approved by the owner in the full amount of the contract and conditioned as provided by the General Statutes of this State. The bond shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business within the State of Minnesota and having a minimum A.M. best rating of B+. The term of the bond will be two (2) years from the date of final acceptance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
