Site work for a water / sewer project in Lake Country, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Through this Request for Proposals, the District of Lake Country invites Proposals from organizations that are experienced in underwater construction related to water intake and pipeline infrastructure, to provide Construction Management Services and Work (as defined in the CCDC5B-2010 Contract) for the District’s project to extend the Kalamalka Lake water intake line. Key details of the Kalamalka Lake Intake Extension Project (the “Project”) are as follows: Project Location: the Kalamalka Lake Intake connects to the foreshore at Pioneer Park, 15750 Trask Road, Lake Country, BC, as shown in the Project Conceptual Design Brief (Exhibit A to this RFP). Overall Project Objective: design and construct an extension of the Kalamalka Lake intake. The Project shall also achieve additional objectives including; Ensure intake screen specifications align with modern Department of Fisheries (DFO) requirements. Protect against the threat of invasive mussels through the addition of chlorine ejection plumbing. Consider including new online sensor technologies, such as optical phytoplankton pigment systems (chl-a, phycocyanin, etc.). Determine transport route of materials from laydown area to the construction zone, including potential disturbances to environmental areas, so that required regulatory approvals can be obtained. Project Key Features: the Project construction will include the following key construction features, based on the approved conceptual design: Installation of approximately 340m of HDPE watermain Replacement of the existing intake screen Project Scope Area: the scope area of the Project will include the following; Underwater for the path of the final intake extension, including all; subsurface work, structures, and improvements required; as shown in Exhibit A and as may be refined during the Pre-Construction Services. Underwater for removal of the existing intake screen plus connection of the existing intake to the new Project Work. Onshore including; the laydown area, and transport route from the laydown area to the foreshore intake point; as shown in Exhibit A and as may be refined during Pre-Construction Services. Pre-Requisites For Respondents to this RFP - Underwater Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Construction Experience: In Part D, Appendix D (Respondent Experience Form); among other things, Respondents must demonstrate that they have delivered at least two previous projects as the General Contractor / Construction Manager, for the construction of Underwater Water/Wastewater Infrastructure. Such projects must have included the following: Construction, installation, or replacement of either a water intake or wastewater outfall. The aforementioned intake or outfall was installed either; in, crossing, or beneath a body of water in British Columbia (lake, river, reservoir, or other waterbody) Documents can be obtained from https://lakecountry.bidsandtenders.ca/
