Controlled demolition of two structures - to project consists of the demolition of two structures known as 39-41 Guernsey Street, the protection of neighboring structures, sidewalks and streets as well as the removal and disposal of the structures and all other materials onsite. This includes removal of any foundation. Upon completion of removal and hauling of structure materials, the lot shall have backfill provided by bidder, to make lot level to surrounding grade. The structures are not condemned. Scope of Work: 1. It is intended that all work is reasonably implied to provide a project complete in all respects, whether or not specifically shown or described in the specifications. All work shall be provided using the contractor's best skill and attention, in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and industry workmanship standards. a. Specifications are complementary. Where a discrepancy occurs in specifications, the better method as determined by City of Norwich Code Enforcement, shall prevail. b. Take field measurements as required. If discrepancies are discovered notify Code Enforcement immediately. C. Single Contract: Provide protection to maintain conditions that ensure work is without damage to streets, sidewalks, curbs and neighboring properties at time of substantial completion. 1.
