Renovation of a mixed-use development in Fairfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This project addresses the need to Decontaminate the interior spaces inside B803 Corrosion Control Paint Bay of Hexavalent Chromium and other toxic substances prior to Construction and Repair. The paint bay is roughly 8,800 SF with an average ceiling height of 30 feet. This project involves the full demolition of existing Roll up Doors and large mechanical ducts/transfer vents entering other occupied spaces, the general intent is to permanently seal off the Corrosion Control Paint Bay from the rest of the building. All entry/egress will be from the exterior of the building. The Mechanical Air systems will be completely isolated from the other occupied spaces including any shared air systems. New mechanical equipment will be required to support this intent. The existing restrooms will be completely remodeled and reconfigured including new underground plumbing. All Interior shared walls will be completely sealed off from the other occupied spaces. Magnitude of Construction: $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Request for Information Due Date: 06 July 2026 at 2:00 PM PDT Addendum #1-#4 have been issued as of 7-28-2026. This project is design-build. The contractor (ktr) shall provide 35%, 65%, and 100% design services for the design and construction necessary for the ktr to repair the corrosion control paint bay in B803 with NFPA, UFC, ETL, IBC codes and industry standards. Any work not specifically covered by the specifications shall comply with listed standards under Section 6 Governing Codes. The ktr shall have approved drawings and submittals for material prior to any new work or installation of equipment, including accessory items. Work shall comply with environmental laws and regulations, including abatement of any hazardous materials. Travis Air Force Base (TAFB) Specification Section 01000 and 01 56 00 have been provided for reference. The performed tasks shall be based on the project description and other data furnished in this SOW.
