The Town of Burlington, Racine County, Wisconsin, will receive sealed bids for road construction work 2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project includes sawcutting existing asphalt, milling 4 inches, regrading of base course and driveways, and repaving with 4 inches of compacted asphalt placed in two lifts on Lake Street, in accordance with the project plans (Project No. 222614). Road Name(s): Lake Street Approximate Limits: Sta. 38+75 to Sta. 40+85 (vicinity of #4203 through #4223 Lake Street), per plan Sheets 5 and 9 Approximate Length: 210 LF Approximate Width: 10 FT typical (varies 8.5-11 FT), plus driveway aprons at #4213 (14.4 FT) and #4223 (13.0 FT) All dimensions are approximate. Contractor is responsible for field verification The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the Town. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Town of Burlington, or a Bid Bond, in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid amount. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount and a Payment Bond as required by Wisconsin Statutes 779.1 All work shall be completed by October 1, 2027. Failure to complete by this date shall result in liquidated damages of $500.00 per calendar day.
