The Escambia County Department of Waste Services located at 13009 Beulah Road, Cantonment, FL 32533 is looking for a qualified and responsible contractor to install a sheet pile retaining wall. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the project in accordance with the engineered drawings. The contractor shall comply with local, state, and federal safety codes/requirements for this work. Supplies & equipment may be staged onsite by the construction area for the entirety of the project. All work is to be performed during normal operating hours of the Perdido Landfill which are Monday through Friday 7am - 5pm & Saturday 7am - 330pm . During these hours the contractor will have access to the facility and may enter the premises through the back gate. Work will be permitted to start after October 1st. 2026 The purpose of this project is to provide stability to the nearby structure. All materials will comply with ASTM and meet Florida Code Requirements. The County does not anticipate that a construction permit will be required for the work based on the current project design . The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining any permits, licenses, notifications, or approvals that are determined to be required as a result of the Contractor's selected means and methods of construction. Engineered drawings included. Prep work o Verify existing site conditions and dimensions. Locate and protect all existing utilities and structures. Provide all required equipment, labor, materials, and temporary facilities. Demo work Remove outer existing timber retaining wall in its entirety including hardware, anchors, and other demolition debris Site Prep Contractor can haul debris from old wall into Landfill Class I Area at no cost (vehicles must use scale in and out for landfill reporting requirements) Furnish and place required stabilization fill . Prepare subgrade to the elevations shown on the engineered drawings. o Compact fill in accordance with the project drawings/specifications. o Grade the work area to provide positive drainage. Installation of sheet pile wall o Furnish and install sheet piles in accordance with the engineered drawings. o Provide all necessary pile-driving/vibratory equipment, bracing, accessories, and installation equipment. Furnish approved backfill material . Place and compact fill in accordance with the engineered drawingsCompletion 3. . Restore all disturbed areas.
