Site work for a water / sewer project in Huntington, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment necessary to replace the diesel tank fill tube and install an emergency vent on an existing 2,000-gallon diesel fuel tank. Work includes the safe removal of the existing approximately 20-foot-long fuel fill tube located on a sloped embankment; installation of a new sealed connection from the interior tank to the road deck fill point terminating in a lockable filler neck and cap assembly; and fabrication of the new fill tube using ASTM A106 Grade B, Schedule 40 seamless carbon steel pipe. The work also includes surface preparation and application of a vinyl paint system conforming to USACE Formula V-766e in accordance with UFGS Section 09 97 02 (Painting: Hydraulic Structures). In addition, the contractor shall calculate the required venting capacity and furnish and install an appropriately sized, approved emergency pressure relief vent on the existing diesel fuel tank in accordance with NFPA 30, Section 22.7. A one-year warranty on materials and installation is required from the date of final Government acceptance. Location: J. Edward Roush Lake Dam, Huntington, Indiana 46750.
