The Southwest Regional Recreation Authority (SRRA), d.b.a. Spearhead Trails, is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and install a complete water storage and pressure system from a municipal water line to provide adequate water pressure and volume to facilities located at 418 Dixon Range Road , Clintwood, VA 24228. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation , installation , testing, and incidental work necessary to complete the project. 2. Required Work The contractor shall furnish and install the following: A. Water Storage Cistern Approximately 1,800-gallon direct-burial polyethylene water cistern, low-profile configuration, or approved equal. All required inlet and outlet connections that meet frost free compliance. Valves, fittings, vents, access covers, and related components that meet frost free compliance. B. Pump System One complete booster pump system capable of providing the required water pressure and volume. The anticipated equipment is a DAB Basybox Max all-in-one pump system, 20- amp/240-volt configuration, or approved equal. All required pump controls, valves, piping, fittings, electrical connections, and accessories necessary for a complete operating system . C. Concrete Utility Vault Provide and install a suitable concrete utility vault for the pump and associated equipment. Include base preparation, placement, and access cover . Electrical Connection Connect the new pump system to the existing 200-amp, single-phase electrical service. Provide all required wiring, conduit, disconnects, breakers, grounding, bonding, and other electrical components necessary for a complete and code-compliant installation. Electrical work shall be performed by Virginia-licensed personnel. 3. System Performance The system shall be designed and installed to provide adequate water pressure and volume to the facilities. The anticipated system requirements are: 100% Demand: Approximately 42.5 GPM Target Pressure: 60 PSI Design Head: Approximately 200 feet elevation difference Anticipated Pump Performance: Approximately 37 GPM at 60 PSI at 200 feet of head Storage Capacity: Approximately 1,800 gallons The contractor shall verify existing site conditions and proposed equipment performance before installation and shall notify SRRA of any conditions that may prevent the system from meeting the intended requirements.
