Renovation of a detention facility in Loretto, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, testing, and related services necessary to disconnect and remove the existing chairlift and furnish and install a new ADA-compliant chairlift at FCI Loretto. The new chairlift shall be installed in the same location as the existing unit, span 16 stairs with a turn at a landing and continue up an additional three stairs, and operate on a dedicated 240V circuit. The chairlift shall have a 660-pound capacity and include obstruction sensors, safety lights, emergency manual folding and lowering capabilities, safety barrier arms, and overspeed safety features. The contractor shall obtain all necessary measurements, follow manufacturer installation recommendations, perform testing of the completed installation, and ensure compliance with applicable FBOP Technical Design Guidelines, life safety requirements, NFPA standards, ADA-ABA requirements, seismic and environmental requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
