The Scope of Work (SOW) consists of: 1. The General Scope of Work Includes the Design and Construction of a New Classroom Addition forChesbrough Elementary School Consisting of Eight (8) New Classrooms and Associated Support Spaces. 2. Including Required Building Connections, Site Adjustments, And Associated Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, And Plumbing Improvements. 3. Project Also Includes Site Improvements, Site Utility Tie-Ins, Sidewalks, Covered Canopy as Shown on Construction Documents. Project Scope and Design-- The new building will generally match the appearance of the existing building, including matching the existing brick if possible. HVAC will use PTAC units similar to the existing facility, with a dedicated outdoor-air unit providing fresh air. A 2-inch water line is planned around the building and will enter from the rear. The new building is not sprinklered. The proposed slab elevation is higher than the existing building at door; elevations must be verified before underground rough-in begins. An alternate includes additional classrooms at the rear of the building. Another alternate covers replacement or modification of the fire-alarm system in the existing building. Site Work and Access -- Dirt work may be difficult because of current site conditions and timing. The limits of fill around the HVAC pad need to be checked to ensure the pad and surrounding area are properly supported. Refer to Addendum No. 1 and the revised civil plans for contractor parking, construction access, staging, temporary drive, fencing, and related site requirements. Contractors should photograph existing site conditions before construction begins. Delivery access, including brick deliveries, must be coordinated through the temporary construction route.
