The City of Auburn is accepting bids for the site clean-up of an illegal junkyard located at 250 Hackett Road. Bids may be held by the City for a period of 30 days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to notification of award. The City also reserves itself for the exclusive right to accept any proposals when it is deemed by the City to be in its best interest. The City of Auburn is governed by Title 1 M.R.S.A. 401-410, otherwise known as the Freedom of Information Act, which considers bid specifications as public documents. In awarding any proposal, the City may consider, but not be limited to, any of the following factors: Bidder qualifications, price, experience, financial standing with the City, warranties, references, delivery date, and service of Bidder. Vendors/Contractors shall be current on all amounts due to the City of Auburn prior to the City entering into any contract agreement. All proposals must include FOB to Auburn, Maine unless otherwise specified. This is a lump sum bid to remove and properly dispose of all junk, debris, vehicles, inoperable equipment and other waste in the areas identified in the attached bid map as well the emptying of all contents of the home on the property. The site shall be free from all surface debris including inoperable equipment, junk, trash, scrap metal and other materials at the completion of the contract. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part and to waive any informality the City may determine necessary.
