The City of Bath is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of its new Fire Station at 840 High Street. The proposed building is a two-story facility of approximately 21,800 square feet, consisting of a structural steel frame, masonry façade, interior fit and finish, exterior earthwork, and site development to support the completed facility. The previous building abatement and demolition have been completed under separate contracts. Each bid must include the bidder's name, mailing address, and phone number, and must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check or money order in an amount equal to or greater than 10% of the bid price. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Any bid not containing the proper deposit will be rejected. Bids will be received electronically through XpressCopy. The City of Bath reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid it deems to be in its best interests, including the right to negotiate additional terms and conditions as may be appropriate and in the City's interest, with any bidder. Bids shall remain valid for 60 days from the bid due date. This project is subject to Federal requirements of the "Build America Buy America Act (BABAA) through the USDA RD."
