New advances in pipe-lining technologies may extend the life of Bath's smaller force mains. The cost of relining is approximately 30%-50% of the cost to replace a force main and can be done in less time and with less interruption. Approx. 8,900 feet total of the 7 force mains are beyond their anticipated life span. Estimate of $300/linear foot The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
