Town Properties include: Town Office Campus Town Hall, 27 Baker Street Fire Station, 35 Baker Street Library Brown Memorial Library, Railroad Street Fire (Police) Station Will switch to police in June/July, Church St. Mow all grass/weeds within the confines of the property. Mowing to be done weekly. If it is a dry summer this may be required less often than weekly with approval by the Town Manager. Mowing to begin in April (weather permitting) and continue through late October/November. Spring cleanup must commence as soon as the snow has melted, and in some instances as soon as the ground is dry enough to be able to cross without leaving ruts. Pick up all branches, dead limbs, rake leaves and haul off and keep leaves clean and hauled away from culverts. Remove leaves, winter plowing residue, and any other debris in front of the Town Office. Trimming around buildings on all sides and/or signs, etc. Trimming shall be done as needed. All debris shall be removed from the premises and shall not be dumped on site. Remove all brush, branches and rotted logs that have fallen. Leaves need to be taken care of several times during the year and at the end of the season. Final fall removal of leaves shall occur before the first of November and spring removal shall be prior to mowing as soon as weather permits. Keep all trash off the abutting landowners. Town Parks/Ballfields are listed below: Old Mill Park (including River Access and lawn area), Route 100 Gordon Field (including ball field, parking area and spectator areas), Morrison Avenue Morrison Avenue Recreation Area (MARA Sports Complex), Morrison Avenue Cindy Blodgett Park (including Basketball Court, Playground, and Jay Galusha Dog Park) Mow all grass/weeds within the confines of the property. Mowing to be done weekly or more if grass is growing quickly and there are ball games going on. You must ask for a game schedule and plan to mow prior to games. Different sports seasons require different grass heights. You should be familiar with these requirements. If it is a dry summer this may be required less often than weekly with approval by the Town Manager. Mowing to begin in April (weather permitting) and continue through late October/November. The area in front of the ballfield, outside the fence area at Gordon Field is not part of this contract until the Town is able to level the area for normal mowers to maintain. Until such time the Town will mow these areas with its bush hog. Special attention will be given to mowing around the perimeter fencing to allow for easy egress on both sides of the fencing and provide for a neat appearance. Any shrubs, trees, plants, or flowers in the park areas will be neatly trimmed around with special care not to damage them. All swale areas, particularly at the MARA Sports Complex, will be maintained by the contractor. Cemeteries in Clinton are listed below: Old and New Village Cemetery, Route 100 Evergreen Cemetery, Hill Road Town House Hill Cemetery, Hinckley Road Morrison Corner Cemetery, Tardiff Road Potter Cemetery, Johnson Flat Road Joy Cemetery, Route 23 Riverview Cemetery, Route 100. Spring cleanup must commence as soon as the snow has melted, and in some instances as soon as the ground is dry enough to be able to cross without leaving ruts. Pick up all branches, dead limbs, remove leaves and haul them off. Pick up all dead flowers on graves and dispose of them. Keep leaves cleaned and hauled away from culverts, fences, stones and other objects. Mow in front of all cemeteries to the road, along fence lines and all debris in front of gate shall be hauled off. Stone fences are to be clear of all dead limbs and debris. Trimming around and under all fences. Trimming shall be done around head stones, footstones, and monuments regularly. Care should be taken so not to damage stones, flowerpots, decorations, etc. Mowing to be done weekly. If it is a dry summer this may be required less often than weekly with approval by the Town Manager. Mowing to begin in April (weather permitting) and continue through late October/November. All debris shall be removed from the premises and shall not be dumped on site. Mow all grass/weeds within the confines of the cemeteries. Remove all summer decorations before the first of November. Remove all brush and rotted logs that have fallen in the cemeteries. Leaves need to be taken care of several times during the year and at the end of the season. Final fall removal of leaves shall occur before the first of November and spring raking shall be prior to mowing before the Memorial Day Holiday. Particular care should be given to flag holders, if removed for mowing. They should be placed back in the original position. All cemeteries are required to be ready for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Keep all trash off the abutting landowners. No mowing will be allowed during burial services within the same cemetery. All grass shall be trimmed around major grave monuments, headstones, footstones, fences and other obstacles to provide a uniform appearance along with the mowing. All grass cuttings shall be removed from monument bases, headstones and footstones after each mowing and carefully remove grass cuttings that are sprayed onto the vertical surfaces of grave monuments by the mowers or trimmers. Special care should be taken during mowing and trimming operations while the grass is damp to prevent the grass from going against monuments causing a discoloration of stones. Special attention should be given to the appearance of each cemetery immediately prior to Memorial Day, the day on which family and friends visit loved ones who passed away. A ceremony takes place every Memorial Day at the New Village Cemetery, regardless of the weather conditions. The Town expects this area to be mowed, trimmed and raked for this ceremony. The town manager will compile a summary for the Selectboard to review and potentially award at their February 10th, 2026, meeting. The Select Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or to negotiate with a certain bidder, if deemed in the town's best interest.
