Demolition for a multi-residential development in Dover Foxcroft, Maine. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-unit multi-residential development.

The contractor shall remove all portions of all structures on the lot at 56 Dwelley Ave and remove the foundation down to the grade of the lot. Any granite present must be salvaged and stockpiled on site. Foundation material (non-granite) above grade may be deposited into the foundation so that the foundation wall is at least brought down to grade with the lot. The perimeter of the foundation must be marked with appropriate flagging and safety barriers. Backfilling of the foundation, loam, and seed will be the responsibility of the Town. All permits, equipment, labor, and materials required to complete the project must be included in the proposal. All work must comply with federal, state, and local codes, and all materials/debris must be disposed of at a licensed facility outside the municipality. All official questions related to this Request for Proposal shall be directed to Alsina Brenenstuhl, Town Manager, (207) 564-3318 Ext. 1014, abrenenstuhl@dover-foxcroft.org. Proposals must be sealed, clearly marked accordingly, and delivered to the town office by the specified deadline. Proposals must use the attached Bid Form and Contractor Questionnaire. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to cancel or amend the proposal at any time. The award will be based on the quality of the contractor, cost, and time to complete the demolition. An assessment of hazardous building materials and special wastes will be required. State and Federal asbestos regulations require a pre-demolition impact survey by a qualified inspector, with any asbestos-containing materials removed by a licensed firm. The survey should also inventory potentially hazardous household and universal wastes for proper removal. Cursory lead sampling is also advisable for disposal facility requirements. The Town has not conducted these inspections and makes no representations about the presence of hazardous materials at 56 Dwelley Ave. All required permits must be included in the proposal. The Town will not charge for local permits it may issue.
