One of the key recommendations that came out of the Strategic Plan was to develop a town-wide stream crossing resilience survey. This project will bring together existing and new information to develop a long-term plan for replacing the Town of Falmouth's road and stream crossing infrastructure where public roads cross perennial rivers and streams as well as tidal wetlands and tidal creeks and streams. The assessment will include approximately 150 stream crossings to evaluate failure potential, erosion impacts, fish passage, and capacity analysis for potential climate adaptation. The results of the assessment will be to produce a prioritized list of recommended actions that meet the goals of restoring and maintaining stream habitat connectivity and enhancing the resilience and stability of roads and culvert crossings. All proposers will have an opportunity to ask questions at the pre-proposal meeting. Additionally, questions can be directed to Justin Early, Assistant Public Works Director/Town Engineer, jearly@falmouthme.org. Questions must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, November 8 th, 2024. The Town of Falmouth reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals for any reason, to negotiate with any individual or firm and to select one or more of the proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
