Site work for a water / sewer project in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of July 24, 2025 Project has not been awarded , Award will be on July 28, 2025 The work for the GRANITE STREET, LOWELL COURT & BATES STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of installation of: - 700 LF 6" DI Water Main - 700 LF 2" HDPE Fusible Water Main - 40 LF 8" DI Water Main - 230 LF Water Services - 20 LF Sprinkler Services - 9 EA F&I Temporary Water Services - 1 2" Blowoff - 2 Hydrant Installations - 300 Ton, Machine-Placed 19.5mm HMA - 250 Ton, Machine-Placed 12.5mm HMA All water main & service installations in Bates Street must be completed by November 1, 2025. Work performed in 2025, including but not limited to, water service trenches, mainline, and limits of disturbed pavement shall be paved no later than November 1, 2025. All work included in this contract must be completed by July 31, 2026. Questions and Requests for Information shall be submitted to Faith Thomas (fthomas@lewistonmaine.gov) on or before noon, July 16, 2025. Questions and RFIs will be responded to via email to potential bidders on the Plan Holders List and those registered with the City Purchasing Department for this project. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. Each bidder is required to state in his/her Proposal his/her name and place of residence and the names of all persons or parties interested as principals with him/her; and that the Proposal is made without any connection to any other bidder making any Proposal for the same work; and that no person acting for, or employed by, the City of Lewiston is directly or indirectly interested in the Proposal or in any contract which may be entered into to which the Proposal relates, or in any portion of the profits there from, except as provided by the City Charter. Once the contract has been awarded, The City reserves the right to negotiate with the low bidder to bring projects down to within budget. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work.
