Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Work at Simard-Payne Memorial Park, 46 Beech Street, as shown on the plans and as delineated in the Plans Specifications, including all other incidental work as necessary to satisfactorily complete the project as outlined or implied in the Plans Specifications. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. The general scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Work at Simard-Payne Memorial Park, 46 Beech Street, as shown on the plans and as delineated below including all other incidental work as necessary to satisfactorily complete the project as outlined or implied in the Plans/Specifications. Construct new field inlet catch basins at drainage locations between walkways. Construct new roadway catch basins and manholes. Construct new 12" storm drain to direct drainage toward the Androscoggin River and the existing drainage manhole on Beech Street. All work in the contract must be completed by no later than July 31, 2026. Beech St paving shall be completed by May 1, 2026. Questions and Requests for Information shall be submitted to Jeff Beaule (jbeaule@lewistonmaine.gov) on or before noon, September 24, 2025. Questions and RFIs will be responded to via email to potential bidders on the Plan Holders List and those registered with the City Purchasing Department for this project. Planting soil shall consist of a mix of Existing Soil or Imported Topsoil with Coarse Sand, and / or Compost to make a new soil that meets the project goals for the indicated planting area.
