Site work and paving for a civil project in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work for the GOFFE STREET, DAWN AVENUE, ROSEWOOD AVENUE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT & ROAD REHAB shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of installation of: - 1, 4 FT Dia. Manhole, Frame, Cover - 30 LF 4" Solid SDR35 PVC Pipe - 1, 4 FT Dia. Catch Basin, Frame, Grate - 220 LF 10" Perf. Underdrain (SDR35 PVC or N-12 Dual Wall) - 1,700 LF, 6" Ductile Iron Water Main - 540 LF, 3/4 " Water Services - 600 Ton, Machine-Placed 19mm HMA - 500 Ton, Machine-Placed 12.5mm HMA - 100 Ton, Hand-Placed HMA - 1,300 SY Loam, Seed & Mulch - 600 CY Aggregate Base Work in each of the streets includes new water main construction, miscellaneous sewer main work, and street re-paving. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work. All mainline paving & water main replacement must be completed by November 1, 2026. All work on this contract, including driveways and loaming, must be completed by no later than November 15, 2026.
