Description

Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Lewiston, Maine. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The Maine Judicial Branch intends to renovate and expand the existing District Court building at 55 Lisbon Street in Lewiston. The existing building has a footprint of approximately 8,200 ft 2 and will be remodeled to include at least two jury courtrooms and all associated support spaces. Circulation pathways for staff and the public will be created on multiple levels, connecting 55 Lisbon Street to 71 Lisbon Street, the existing Lewiston District Court. Construction could begin as early as design and permitting are completed. Anticipated completion for all design work is April 1, 2027. The scope of services for this project includes, but may not be limited to, schedule and cost estimating, preliminary design, design development, contract documents, and administration of bidding and construction. The AE Consultant may be required to coordinate this work or additional work with other consultants contracted by the Owner.
