The Town of Lubec is seeking bids for 1,500 cubic yards of sand for winter road maintenance. Sand is to be screened 3/8" and less. Aggregate shall be clean sand of hard, durable, sharp-grained particles, free from vegetable or organic matter, lumps or balls of clay or other deleterious substances. The gradation shall meet the grading requirements as follows: Sieve Designation % weight passing square mesh sieve 3/8 inch 100%. Bid price includes material transported. Work should be completed by October 4, 2024. Please include proof of workers comp or proof of an approved contractor predetermination application for your company and a certificate of motor vehicle insurance. The selectmen reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
