Site work for a water / sewer project in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work may include but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal of existing stone protection, ramp blocks, crushed stone and geotextile fabric 2. Stockpiling of crushed stone and riprap greater than 18" in diameter 3. Re-establish flat base for new ramp construction. 4. Build new base for ramp blocks with 2" crushed stone wrap with non-woven geotextile fabric 5. Installation of new interlocking 18'x4'x8" 6. Installation of curbing along edges of ramp blocks 7. Install two courses of 18" armor stone along curbing 8. Place remaining stockpiled rock adjacent to armor stone to ensure gradual transition to existing grade 9. Regrade gravel roadway and channels apron above the top of the ramp 10. Construct Riprap plunge pools at outfall locations shown on plan set 11. Loam and seed stormwater channels along roadway. There will be no prebid meeting for this project. Questions regarding this bid shall be made in writing only and be sent to the Purchasing Office, being received no later than five working days prior to the bid opening, for this project that deadline is 12:00 noon on August 21st, 2025. They may be mailed, e-mailed to pfitzgerald@portlandmaine.gov or faxed to 207-874-8652. Questions that result in modifications to the bid's specifications will be in the form of a written addendum and sent to all bid holders on registered in the Purchasing Office
