Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bidders shall visit site prior to bid and carefully examine project scope and conditions that may affect proper execution of work of this Section and determine or verify dimensions and quantities. Contractor's submission of bid shall be acknowledgment that he is thoroughly familiar with project scope and site conditions. This bid will be awarded to the bidder that submits the lowest base bid amount. All work is to be in full compliance with any and all pertinent Federal, State of Maine and municipal regulations. Question Deadline 07/23/2025 at 12:00 PM ET The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids, to accept any bid and to reject any or all bids should it be deemed for the best interest of the City to do so. The City reserves the right to substantiate the bidder's qualifications, capability to perform, availability, past performance record and to verify that the proposer is current in its obligations to the City, as follows: The successful contractor must be authorized to do business in the State of Maine before a contract will be awarded. It is the bidder’s sole responsibility to ensure that their bid is submitted prior to the date and time specified Briefly and without force and effect upon the contract documents, the work of the contract can be summarized as follows: Chipping, grinding out old deteriorated concrete and rebar overhead. Rebar coating and supplemental reinforcement installation, replacement of concrete surfaces. All work is between column lines 8- 10 and F to G. This bid will be awarded to the bidder that submits the lowest base bid amount. Bids from contractors not registered with the Purchasing Office may be rejected; receipt of this document directly from the City of Portland indicates registration.
