1. BASE BID. The Longfellow School Playground Site Work Project includes site improvements associated with a playground reconstruction project. Work will include, but is not limited to, the following: All demolition and site preparation work as indicated on the plans. Earthwork, including preparation of new playground areas, new stone dust area, and minor grading associated with the existing playground improvements. Stormwater improvements, including underdrain systems, storm drainpipe, and basins. Placing reclaimed granite curbing and features (provided by City on-site) as indicated on the plans. Relocating and setting existing landscape boulders on site. Providing and setting supplemental landscape boulders on site. Providing, constructing /installing timber and log edging, footbridge, boardwalk, and timber retaining walls / tunnel play feature. Constructing asphalt, stone dust, and sand areas / paths. Furnishing and installing aluminum fencing, including two swing gates for service access. Preparing base aggregate, as required, for new playground equipment (by others) as indicated on the plans, including any required coordination with the City's playground equipment installers. City/Play Equipment Installer shall provide and spread wood playground safety surfacing. Preparing new planting beds, providing and installing all landscaping including mulch placement. Preparing lawn areas with loam and installing sod; Loaming & seeding all remaining disturbed areas, including the application of straw mulch. 2. ADD ALTERNATE 1: SITTING LOGS Providing and setting 100 linear feet of sitting log as indicated on the plans. 3. ADD ALTERNATE 2: TREE BENCHES Constructing/installing two wood tree benches as indicated on the plans. 4. ADD ALTERNATE 3. PLATFORM BENCHES Constructing/installing three platform benches as indicated on the plans. 5. ADD ALTERNATE 4: DECORATIVE ALUMINUM FENCE & DOUBLE SWING GATES Providing and installing 120 If of decorative aluminum fencing, 4' high, with double swing gates for access, min. 12' total width, as indicated on the plans.
