The Project includes the following Work: Construction of approximately 7,800 feet of new buried water main along Hendrick's Hill Road in Southport, Maine. Work includes supply and installation of all water mains, services, and hydrants as well as surface restoration including paving, loam and seed, etc. The Project has an expected duration of [270] days. A winter shutdown and suspension in contract time will be permitted if necessary. If bid amount is $125,00.00 or greater than Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. If bid amount is $125,000.00 or greater, Payment and Performance Bonds will need to be provided at Contract Signing as described in the Contract Documents. A certified check or bank draft payable to the OWNER or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of bids unless released by the Owner. Doc note: Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Printed Contract Documents can be purchased for $200 plus Shipping costs of $10 per set. Electronic Documents (pdf format) can be purchased for $25. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
