Question Deadline 12/11/2025 at 1:00 PM ET Omissions, discrepancies, interpretations, and questions must be submitted in writing to the Engineer. Work under the base bid includes, but is not limited to, approximately 500 CY of embankment excavation, 39 CY ofroadway aggregates, removing and resetting 12 LF of guardrail, removing and resetting 185 CY of rip-rap, 9 CY of pavement restoration, removing and resetting granite stair slabs, and all site work, tree removal, earthwork, erosion control, traffic control, restoration of disturbed areas, loam and seeding, and all incidentals as required for a complete project. Alternate Bid No. 1 includes approximately 4 CY ofroadway aggregate base, 2.3 CY ofroadway pavement repairs, 200 CY ofrip-rap, filter fabric, filter stone, and 90 LF ofHemlock guardrail. Alternate Bid No. 2 includes abandonment of one catch basin, 7 test pits, 13 CY of roadway repairs, 80 CY of rip-rap, filter fabric, filter stone, repair of a stacked granite retaining wall, 160 LF of 12" storm drain, 20 LF of 18" storm drain, 3 Type F catch basins, and pressure treated stairs with a concrete landing. Alternate Bid No. 3 includes approximately 18 CY ofroadway aggregate base, 29 CY ofroadway pavement repairs, 350 CY ofrip-rap, filter fabric, and filter stone. Alternate Bid No. 4 includes approximately 140 CY of rip-rap, filter stone, filter fabric, and a reinforced concrete footing for granite stair slabs. Alternate bids include additional quantities and types of work such as roadway aggregate base and pavement repairs, abandonment of a catch basin, test pits, repairs to a stacked granite retaining wall, installation of storm drains and catch basins, pressure treated stairs with a concrete landing, and reinforced concrete footing for granite stair slabs. Bids may only be submitted by registered plan holders who have obtained plans from the engineering firm. A certified check or bid bond for 5% of the bid amount is required with each submission. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract value are required at contract execution. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept any bid in its best interests, and waive irregularities in bidding. Evidence of bidder qualifications must be provided, and the owner may reject bids if qualifications are insufficient.
