The work consists of furnishing and installing a new roof system on the existing structure not including the entrance portico. Work also includes removal and disposal of the existing roof as well as the installation of underlayment, shingles, boots, drip edge, venting. Minor fascia and sheathing repair may be required. This project is being funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant. All contractors must complete the CDBG construction packet within the bid document to be considered for this project. Davis-Bacon prevailing wages apply to all labor performed on site. Please refer to the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rate sheet in the contract documents when determining labor costs. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the value of the bid. A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 10 consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the bid opening. The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects, or reject any or all bids if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
