This project will consist of excavating existing gravel parking lot as indicated on drawings as well as placement of 2A stone base, 25 mm base course, and 9.5 mm wearing course. NOTE: Coordination with the District will be required to allow partial use to buses during the course of the project. Drawings and specifications will be available via PennBid for review. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of the bid, made payable to Palisades School District. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wages rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their rage, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
