Bids must be submitted on the forms supplied and in the manner specified within the Bid Documents. This invitation is open to previously prequalified On Call Trade General Contractors ($100K - $500K) only. The project consists of adding entry gates to Fairfield Way where two electronically controlled access gates with the controls connected to the UConn Security System. Gates and gate posts will be provided by UConn for installation by the Contractor. There will also be additional work along Fairfield Way and inside Koon's Hall and Gentry. This project will take place on the Storrs Campus of the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut. Include in the subject line: RFI - Entry Gates to Fairfield Way, #FO500021. Questions received verbally will not be answered. All answers will be published by written Bid Clarification. Extensions of RFI deadlines may only be revised via written Bid Clarification. It is the responsibility of all bidders to verify that they are current with all Bid Clarifications issued prior to bid submission. The University reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total Bid, and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the University. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within ninety (90) days of the date of the Bid opening. Should there be reasons why the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the University and the Bidder.
