Demolition, site work and renovation of a civil project in Brielle, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of April 4, 2019 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Work of the project shall include mobilization, ground water storage tank rehabilitation, water piping demolition and water piping installation, valve vault installation, chlorine gas demolition and new disinfection system installation, site restorations, demobilization, and miscellaneous associated tasks. Complete digital sets of Bid Documents including the Contract Documents [Construction Drawings, Project Manual with Specifications, Agreement between Owner and Contractor, and the Conditions of the Contract (General, Supplementary and other Conditions)] may be obtained online as a download for Forty-Nine Dollars ($49.00). Packaging and shipping costs are additional and shall be borne by the Bidder. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated herein and as required by the Specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: Clerk, Borough of Brielle., clearly marked on the outside: Bid For: Brielle Water System Improvements. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check or bid bond, made payable to Borough of Brielle, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an acceptable surety company, agreeing to furnish the required Performance (100%), Payment (100%) and Maintenance Bonds upon award of this Contract. All surety bonds in connection with the advertisement and award of this Contract must be written by a surety company whose qualification and authority to issue bonds in New Jersey has been certified by the New Jersey Commissioner of Insurance pursuant to the provisions of NJSA 17:17-1 et seq. The surety company shall also be listed under OMB Circular 570. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq., NJAC 17:27, as amended and supplemented from time to time (Mandatory Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Registration), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages) and P.L. 2004, C. 57 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements), and N.J.A.C. 17:27-6.2, requiring each bidder and each subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development an affirmative action program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all employment categories. This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust nor any of their departments, agencies or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10. The Project shall conform to the Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. The bid receipt date will be at least thirty (30) days after the advertisement date; addenda notices will be provided no less than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the bid receipt deadline. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such Bidder who, in the judgement of the Borough of Brielle makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
