Various primary and secondary routes in Lee and Scott Counties. Contractor shall perform asphalt patching operations on primary and secondary routes in Lee and Scott Counties within the Wise Residency. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide all equipment, labor, tools and transportation necessary to perform on-call, as needed patching operations on primary and secondary routes in Lee and Scott Counties within the Wise Residency, in accordance with the specifications contained herein. From July 8, 2019 through July 7, 2020 with four (4) optional successive one-year renewal periods. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Tiffany Canter at tiffany.canter@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office will determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions pertaining to this IFB to the Contract Officer five (5) days prior to the closing date. The Contractor shall provide equipment with experienced operators, labor, certified flaggers, fuel, traffic control, transportation (mobilization), tools, materials, supplies, on-site supervision and incidentals as necessary for performing paving, flexible pavement planing, and trench milling on various primary and secondary routes in Lee and Scott County on an as needed basis. Work shall include removing deteriorated pavement, disposal of unsuitable materials, cleaning the area and repairing with the appropriate asphalt plant mixes. This will include short sections of the roadway, shoulders, and other special paving projects not to exceed 500 feet of continuous paving. All work performed under this contract shall be under the direction of the Contract Administrator or designee. For each assignment, the Contractor shall be required to report within five (5) business days after notification and furnish the equipment and service requested by VDOT.
