The Project consists of constructing the closure of West Canal Road at the Placitas Arroyo which includes the removal of the existing concrete box culverts, installation of warning and advisory signage, and the construction of a turnaround area on the east side of the arroyo. Also included is the extension of the Chile Capital Lane corridor north to connect to West Canal Road. The roadway extension consists of a two 12-foot driving lanes and a standard 2-foot curb and gutter on each side of the roadway. Bid Alternate 1 consists of the slope protection and erosion control of the south side of the Hatch Cemetery. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bidders shall submit questions to the Owner / Engineer during the bidding phase through the BHITracker(R) Site. Responses to the questions will be provided via an addendum. The last day for questions is close of business (5:00 pm local time) July 10, 2020. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
