Governors State University was constructed circa 1971 and consisted one original large building with Six Wings (referred here as "Buildings"). Two additions were added later including the Center for Performing Arts. The roof elevations vary from building to building. All roofs on the original Building were last replaced in 1993. This current project addresses the roof replacement on Building "A", "B", and the Center for Performing Arts: a. Building A consisting of 7 distinct roof areas totaling 47,160 square feet. b. Building B consisting of 6 distinct roof area totaling 28,568 square feet. c. Center for Performing Arts P" consisting of 8 distinct roof areas totaling 20,172 square feet. a. Removal of existing roofing and roof insulation, and installation of new modified bitumen roofing membrane and insulation. b. Removal Replacement of gravel stops/fascia and aluminum gutters with downspouts. c. Removal and Replacement of wall flashings. d. Removal and Replacement of curbs to raise top of curb elevations e. Associated MEP work includes the removal and reinstallation to extended duct and electrical feeds as required as a result of higher roof curbs.
