**The project was awarded to Barletta Materials and Construction Inc for $86,751.35.** The work includes Shoulder Improvements on Reservoir Road, T-431, generally described as consisting of embankment excavation and shoulder grading, stone shoulder improvements and embankment stabilization. All labor and materials must meet PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. A Prevailing Wages apply to this contract. Bids shall be clearly labeled "Bid Proposal for Reservoir Road Shoulder Improvements" and all bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Union Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 10 working days of the award of the contract and a certificate of liability insurance acceptable to the municipality prior to the start of any work. All bids will be opened publicly at a regular meeting of Union Township Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. Union Township reserves the right to accept or reject any and /or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
