Renovation of a museum in Creston, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Through its subsidiary CBT Property Corp., Columbia Basin Trust invites qualified firms to submit a proposal (each, a “Proposal”) to provide general construction work required to complete the conservation of the red grain elevator, located in Creston, BC. The Project scope includes, but is not limited to, minor structural foundation repair, intumescent paint to interior structure of the drive aisle, electrical upgrades such as a fire alarm system, site grading works, securing guard rails and ladders, and installing a fall arrest system. The Elevator is located at 215 Northwest Boulevard, Creston, BC. All Work will be performed in accordance with all laws, regulations, and the project documents identified in Appendix B and C. If there is a conflict between any other project documents and this RFP, this RFP shall prevail. Work will include (provide a Fixed Fee budget for each), but not be limited to: a. Concrete foundation repair in crawlspace and exterior foundation wall at west side Elevator; b. Shore up support posts in crawlspace; c. Secure ladders for maintenance access and install fall arrest system; d. Clean the machinery (interior headworks and leg) where visible from the drive aisle mezzanine; e. Site grading, new parking area, ramp to Elevator entry, install interpretative signage footings (two signage panels to be provided by the Trust); f. Landscaping; g. Apply “No-burn” finish to interior of the drive aisle structure (main floor and mezzanine); h. Upgrade electrical and fire alarm systems; and, i. Any other work associated with the Appendix B and C not listed above, to be itemized and budget provided.
