Site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in New Tecumseth, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 180,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 34-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; for the construction of a 301,000-square-foot, six-story above grade, 321-unit multi-residential development; and multi-residential development.
Simcoe Manor and Village Redevelopment Project consists of Multiple Buildings as follows: Building A (Long Term Care) 180,000 sq ft - three (3) levels, CIP concrete and steel framed; Building B (Village Square) 81,000 sq ft - two (2) levels, CIP concrete and steel frame; Building C (Affordable and Supportive Housing) 85,000 sq ft - six (6) levels, CIP concrete, LB masonry and steel frame; Building D (link) 8,000 sq ft - 2 levels, CIP concrete; Building E (Rental Retirement) 127,000 sq ft - 5 levels, CIP conc and steel frame; TIMELINE: Site works are complete. Prequalification for sub trades has closed at the Construction Manager. It is unclear at this time if awarded trade information will be released for publication. Pending owner's decision to proceed, structural construction will begin fall 2023 with Buildings A through E in Phase One. Phasing details and timelines may be confirmed Fall 2023. Construction of Phase One will take approx. 36 months to complete. *Total project has been currently estimated between 250 - 300 million; breakdown of Phase 1 and Phase 2 are unconfirmed.
